Questions/Answers
How long do I have to pick up my items?
Purchased items must be picked up 14 days after the auction by 5:00 PM CST. Any items not removed by removal date will accrue a $25/day storage fee (to be collected by seller at removal). If you fail to pick up your property within 30 days of the auction you agree at the sellers discretion your item will be placed on the next available BIG IRON auction with proceeds less storage and commission payable to you (buyer). Removal shall be at the expense, liability and risk of the buyer.A paid invoice must be presented to pick up the items you purchased.
How long do I have to pay for my items?
Payment must be received 48 hours after the auction. If payment is not received you will not be able to bid on any future BIG IRON Auctions.
When do I receive the invoice for the items I purchased?
After the auction is over, invoices are sent to the buyers via e-mail. Please be sure to check your e-mail to view your invoice.
Why didn't I win the item when I placed a higher bid?
In order to successfully place a bid you must be Signed In as a registered bidder. You must accept the terms of the auction. Check to make sure you are in fact the new high bidder. It is possible you only pushed up a bidder who also set a maximum bid.
What is the difference between 'Bid Next Amount', 'Submit' and 'Set Maximum'?
'Bid Next Amount' automatically places a bid at the minimum increment allowed for the current bid level. 'Submit' automatically places a bid in the amount you enter. 'Set Maximum' allows the website to place a bid on your behalf (at or below what you enter), only as high as is necessary to make you the current high bidder. As additional bids are received, your bid will be raised automatically (up to your maximum). If the bidding ends below your maximum, you only pay the amount of the last bid.
What is the five minute bid extension?
If BIG IRON receives a bid in five minutes of the close of bidding, the bidding is automatically extended an additional five minutes. This will continue until there is a five-minute period where no bids are placed.
Can I set a reserve on the equipment I want to sell on BIG IRON?
No, all BIG IRON Auctions are unreserved. That is why equipment sold on unreserved auctions set high dollar values.
Is my bidder number good for all Stock Auction Company Auctions?
No, your bidder number is only good for BIG IRON Auctions, it will not work for Proxibid. You can register for Proxibid by clicking on the auction you want to participate in at Stock Auction Company.
Is my bidder number good for all BIG IRON Auctions?
Yes, your bidder number/password works for all BIG IRON Auctions.

Tips/Tricks
How do I find items located near my area?
This needs to be Zip Code based and should be available through the keyword search field with a default for 50-100 miles of searched Zip Code.
How do I remember the items I am interested in on an auction without going through all the items to find those items?
Locate the Watch + symbol at the top right of the items description and click on Watch +. This will add the item to Your Watched list. Your Watched items appear on the left side of your screen. Any item you bid on will be added to Your Watched list. Your Watched list on the left will display 4 items; click View All to see complete Your Watched list.
How do I find a specific piece of equipment?
There are two ways to find equipment; you can use the Keyword Search feature at the top left of most website pages or you can use Browse Categories located in the left side menu. Using the Keyword Search or Browse Categories features from the home page will search or browse all upcoming auctions. Navigating to a specific auction and then using Keyword Search or Browse Categories feature will only show items from that specific auction
How do I see all items a seller has?
Click on the name of the seller and all items that seller has listed on that auction will be displayed.
How do I find items from a specific seller?
Type the name of the seller in the box near the top left of the screen and click Search.
